Those who have achieved a certain level of success understand the fresh challenges and exciting opportunities that accompany significant wealth – and they need an advisor who can help them navigate both. That is when they can turn to Ricardo.

Born in Bogota, Colombia, Ricardo joined the financial industry in 1988 when he accepted the position of private banker in New York. A few years later, he moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where he lived for nearly 20 years, to continue advancing his career. In 1999, he accepted a role in J. Safra Sarasin, a Swiss private bank, later joining UBS International as senior vice president of investments. In 2019, Ricardo proudly joined Alex. Brown, a division of Raymond James and the U.S.’s first investment bank.

Now a client advisor, Ricardo specializes in serving ultra-high-net-worth clients, working closely with their personal teams of lawyers and accountants to create sophisticated strategies fit for their distinct needs. Ricardo’s in-depth knowledge of offshore markets enables him to provide holistic financial service that’s uniquely influenced by a global perspective. Trustworthy and loyal, he believes in helping clients address all of the important matters money touches – from portfolio diversification to estate planning – so they can spend more time focusing on the things they truly love.

Ricardo holds a bachelor’s degree in business and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He fluently speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian, and is actively involved with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces.

Away from work, Ricardo enjoys playing soccer, fishing near his home in Miami, Florida, and spending time with his wife, Vera, and their three children, Rafael, Daniel and Camila.
