Elana’s passion for helping families achieve their financial goals started when her family immigrated to the United States from Russia. She learned to appreciate what it takes to build stability from nothing through her parents’ determination and struggles. After completing a college internship at Paine Webber, a predecessor firm of UBS, Elana knew she wanted a career in finance.

Elana’s career began in 2000 at Morgan Stanley in New York, where she worked as a financial advisor and developed her fundamental investment knowledge. She went on to work for Wells Fargo Advisors for 16 years and most recently, she joined Alex Brown, where she takes a team approach to providing personalized financial solutions for individuals and families and formed Milianta Wealth Management.

Throughout her career, Elana has earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designations through intensive programs focused on developing her skills in retirement and divorce planning, following a fiduciary standard throughout the financial planning engagement.

For more than 20 years, Elana has helped clients address their concerns and develop sound strategies by focusing on each individual’s specific needs—whether it’s starting a new chapter in life with a business or job, family, retirement, divorce, or loss of a loved one. Elana has dedicated her career to delivering personalized planning services to help her clients through all of life’s transitions. Leveraging extensive experience navigating major market shifts, Elana provides vision, guidance, and support to help her clients stay focused on their financial objectives.

Philanthropy

Elana volunteers and sits on the board of directors for the Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC). WBDC supports economic prosperity for women and strengthens communities through entrepreneurial and financial education services that create and grow sustainable jobs and businesses across Connecticut.

For Fun

While attending Fairleigh Dickinson University, Elana owned and operated a children’s retail boutique in Old Greenwich, Connecticut.

Elana spends her free time with her husband, Chris, and their blended family of six children and two English Bulldogs, Maggie and Tugz. Their family stays active and enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and working out.
