David B. Donabedian is a Director, Client Advisor and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary AIF®, at Alex. Brown – Raymond James. He has been advising high-net-worth individuals, families and executives for over 25 years.

With the insight and industry knowledge that come with over 25 years in the business, David has extensive experience providing comprehensive wealth management guidance for retirement planning, estate, charitable giving and trust, portfolio and risk management as well as tax mitigation strategies.

David strives to be a trusted wealth advisor for his clients and endeavors to create long- term, meaningful relationships providing guidance to effectively pursue their financial goals. He takes pride and is deeply committed in playing a key role and making a difference in their lives whether they are planning for retirement, transitioning from a life event such as divorce or loss of a loved one, planning for the monetization of a business or leaving a legacy for their family.

Prior to the acquisition of Alex Brown in 2016 by Raymond James, David previously served as a Director, Client Advisor in the Alex Brown Private Client Group at Deutsche Bank where he advised high-net -worth clientele since 2007. He started his career as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley in 1996.

David has attained the designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary AIF®. The purpose of the AIF® Designation is to assure that those responsible for managing or advising on investor assets have a fundamental understanding of the principles of fiduciary duty, the standards of conduct for acting as a fiduciary and process for carrying out fiduciary responsibility.

Originally from Arlington, MA, David graduated from Merrimack College earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.

He has served on the board of directors for the National Brain Tumor Society for six years, the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to brain tumor research, and remains as an active volunteer. Previously, David has volunteered his time as a coach for the Masconomet Youth Hockey Association. He has also been a fundraiser for the Jimmy Fund that benefits the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

The Investment Management Consultant designation is awarded to those who complete the Raymond James Institute of Investment Management Consulting program.
