Jose A. de la Lama is a managing director with Alex. Brown in the firm’s Miami branch office. Jose believes the cornerstone of a successful client-advisor relationship is the mutual trust and respect that develops over time, and he is deeply committed to helping his clients realize their long-term financial goals. He provides a comprehensive approach to wealth management, risk management and estate planning to individuals, families and businesses.
Jose employs the vast resources of Raymond James, one of the largest independent financial services firms in the nation, to bring the right expertise and tailored financial solutions designed to meet his clients’ specific needs. He works diligently to assist his clients with quality customer service and the intention of being their trusted wealth advisor for life.
Prior to beginning his career at Alex. Brown in 2021, he worked at Merrill Lynch as senior vice president-international wealth advisor. He received his Master of Science in finance from Georgetown University and Bachelor of Arts in economics from Penn State University, and he earned the Certified Financial Planner™ certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.
Originally from Lima, Peru, he is active in the community as a volunteer for organizations such as Florida Grand Opera. Jose and his wife, Alicia, have one son, and they currently live in Miami.
