Tristan Cooper

AAMS™, WMS™
Client Advisor

Tristan, the architect of the Sports & Entertainment Division of the Orloff-Gallo Group, brings a unique perspective to the sports world having been a Division 1 scholarship athlete, working for one of the preeminent college athletic programs and growing up with a father who's been a professional and collegiate coach for almost forty years. That triad of life experiences has given him a deeper understanding of the ongoing challenges and shortened financial lifecycle of most coaches and athletes. It’s also afforded him a unique vantage point from which to concentrate on managing and guiding their day to day financial choices as he oversees daily operations and continued growth of the S&E Division. He also serves as a retirement plan specialist, working with individuals to plan out their financial needs for retirement and evaluating their retirement plan options.

After observing his father Ron move through the football coaching ranks, working with legends of the game like Nick Saban, Lou Holtz, Steve Spurrier, Mack Brown, Les Miles and others, Tristan accepted a scholarship at Tulane and played football for the Green Wave, where he twice was named an American Athletic Academic All-Conference selection. After graduating from Tulane’s Freeman School of Business with a double major in Management and Legal Studies, he worked with several prominent athletic directors at Texas A&M. While there, he worked on the transition team for new football and basketball coaching hires and with major donors. During his time with the Aggies they generated more revenue and received more capital contributions than any collegiate athletic program in the country1 per Forbes. Texas A&M is also where Tristan received a Master's in Sports Management and completed his financial planning coursework, after deciding to pursue a financial services career.

A believer in giving back, Tristan serves as a board member for the New England Chapter of the Positive Coaching Alliance. He’s also a volunteer-mentor for Rays of Hope Outreach, providing gifts to local youth at Christmas, speaking with children and their parents about education choices during their annual summer program, and providing school supplies to those in need. In his free time, you can find Tristan fishing, cooking, reading and of course, watching sports.
