Steven B. Beasley, CFP® Director, Client Advisor

Steven Beasley is a director with Alex. Brown in the firm’s 320 Park Avenue office.

In a world of confusing headlines and changing markets, it takes more than sound investment guidance to move clients’ goals forward; it takes an understanding of a client’s entire financial life and helps them develop a clear road map to where they want to go. Financial confidence, in Steve’s words, is “built on an investment strategy that remains nimble, agile and flexible in response to changing circumstances.” He helps clients by providing tailored advice which carefully accounts for each individual or organization’s priorities, goals and evolving needs.

Prior to arriving at Alex. Brown in January 2023, Steve was a senior vice president of investments at UBS. His door was always open to visiting clients and younger advisors seeking his guidance.

His earlier career included an advisory position at Citigroup Family Office (CFO), a private wealth management boutique dedicated to serving the needs of the firm’s largest clients.

Steve’s focus at CFO included planning for and advising high-net-worth families, private businesses, senior executives of public corporations and charitable foundations. His Wall Street career began in 1986 as an account executive at EF Hutton & Company, where the company culture helped to solidify his long-standing relationships within the industry.

Born and raised in New York, Mr. Beasley graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University. An avid fly fisherman and wilderness adventurer, Steve spends his free time exploring the western U.S. with lifelong friends who share his passion for the outdoors. He actively supports nature conservation efforts, including Trout Unlimited and The Nature Conservancy. Steve’s two children, Will and Kate, also reside in New York City, where they are advancing their academic careers in medicine and the arts.
