It’s not often that you will find a financial professional who actually started out in an all-together different career, filling cavities and doing root canals. Yes, Steve originally trained and practiced as a dentist, but his persistent passion for stocks and investing beckoned him, and he has never looked back from the career-changing decision he made many decades ago.
Today, he applies his extensive financial industry experience to providing our team and clients with his highly knowledgeable security analysis, portfolio review and fixed income and options trading guidance.

Steve’s career in the financial services industry spans more than 40 years. Before he transitioned to Alex. Brown in 2020, his distinguished career, which began at Drexel Burnham, also included stints at Prudential Securities, Morgan Stanley, Wachovia Securities and Wells Fargo Advisors.

Steve has a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Temple University School of Dentistry.

Steve is a Philadelphia native and lives in the Center City neighborhood with his wife, Ann. In his free time, he indulges his many creative passions as a painter, pianist and writer of novels.
