Highly customized in its implementation, our institutional plan management is unapologetically disciplined in the actions we take. We know your unique needs and responsibilities require that and much more, so our process relies on strategy, in-depth research, reporting and oversight to ensure we’ve covered the big picture as well as the finer details. Our goal? The ideal outcome for your organization’s financial obligations. One that supports your work and all you strive to accomplish financially.
Institution Consulting Process: With years of experience our team helps institutions fulfill their fiduciary responsibility while working in partnership to meet organizational goals. We believe a consistent approach adds discipline and helps all parties to understand roles and responsibilities.
Develop a Profile: We use a proprietary questionnaire to assess client investment goals and constraints. This is where we listen to understand the culture and philosophy of the organization and agree on issues such as return, risk, liquidity and spending needs.
Perform Asset Allocation Analysis: We review goals and objectives along with any existing asset allocation. We offer different asset allocation scenarios based on the investment profile. Then we determine and agree upon adjustments to the asset allocation.
Develop and Populate the Investment Structure: We conduct extensive due diligence in determining the optimal combination of investment strategies and vehicles to achieve the desired purpose. We may look at active and passive management to reach the best blend of risk and return. Once the mix is determined, then we populate the account with institutional class mutual funds, ETFs, separate account managers and alternative vehicles if appropriate.
Review and Update the IPS: We review the Investment Policy Statement thoroughly and memorialize the new investment program with an updated Investment Policy Statement. The IPS is the long term roadmap for the operation of the fund and the roles and responsibilities for all parties.
Ongoing Review: We continually review the asset allocation and rebalance as necessary. As part of our due diligence and research, we advise on changes needed in managers/funds to keep pace with the economy. We provide quarterly performance report and gather feedback from the client to systematically make adjustments when appropriate. It is prudent to review the Investment Policy Statement annually.
Diversification and strategic asset allocation do not ensure a profit or protect against a loss. Investments are subject to market risk, including possible loss of principal. The process of rebalancing may carry tax consequences.
