Welcome to a place where good people grow
Let’s get started at Raymond James
No matter how much experience you have, jumping into something new can feel stressful. We get it, and we’re here to help. Check out this site for answers to common questions, then take a deep breath – you’re going to love it here.
What to expect during your first month
-
- We’ll give you a welcome call congratulating you on your new role with Raymond James.
- You’ll complete a background check, I-9 paperwork, fingerprinting and a few other onboarding tasks.
- We’ll check in with you along the way and send you helpful resources as well as key information you’ll need as you prepare for your new journey at Raymond James.
-
- You’ll get a call from your manager with specific guidance for your first day.
- If your new role is remote, the technology support team will reach out to assist you in setting up your new Raymond James equipment at home.
-
- Be sure to check your Raymond James email inbox for an invitation to a new hire orientation, as well as a benefits and wellness webinar.
- If you’re working on-site:
- Your manager will meet you in the lobby upon arrival to show you around.
- You’ll receive your equipment and system access. Your manager will also arrange for you to get your parking pass and ID badge that same day.
-
- During your first week, you’ll receive messages in Workday to complete your W-4, set up direct deposit and enroll in benefits.
- You’ll also be contacted by our compliance department to sort out attestations and disclosures regarding outside business activity or brokerage accounts, which you’ll have 30 days to address.
-
- Within your first month, you’ll get an email from Principal to access your 401(k), employee stock ownership and profit-sharing accounts. This includes a webinar invitation to learn about your new retirement accounts and Raymond James’ investment in your financial future.
- Be sure to review the Weekly Digest email you’ll receive each week and check out the front page of our internal site, RJnet, to learn what’s happening around the firm and get involved.
