Steven serves as The Stepanian Group’s strategist and has been with the firm since 2001. He spent over 15 years consulting ultra high-net-worth individuals and families at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, prior to the Alex. Brown spin out in 2016. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and serves as the team strategist. Steven’s expertise includes the assessment of investment management risk, analyzing and reporting investment results, and investment manager research and selection. He’s responsible for developing asset allocation solutions for clients, measuring and reporting investment performance, periodically reviewing each client’s investment options and assisting in the development of an investment policy statement. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, Steven spent five years at Lehman Brothers in New York. He joined Lehman’s Private Client Group in 1997 and worked as a Branch Compliance Manager where he was responsible for employee training, regulatory inquiries, internal investigations and other compliance policy issues. Steven graduated from Stony Brook University in 1996 with a B.S. in applied mathematics and statistics from the School of Engineering and a B.A. in economics. In addition, he is Series 7, 8, 63 and 65 licensed and has earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst™ designation through the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Steven is an active member of the Investment Management Consultants Association. He lives in Bellmore, New York, with his wife and three children.
