Matt Ewald, CPFA®, AAMS™ Client Advisor

Matt joined WBO Partners of Alex Brown in 2023.

Prior to joining the team, Matt launched multiple businesses in the services industry.

His first business was established in 2020, Chesapeake Truck Worx, which provided clients with vintage truck restoration services structured to customize an array of unique classic trucks to fit client's needs. Most importantly, the business core focus was on client satisfaction. Matt exited Chesapeake Truck Worx in 2023 to join WBO Partners.

In 2021, Matt launched Captain Contracting, which specializes in land development and commercial snow removal services. Here, he refined his skillset in business strategy and working with business owners to fit their needs. Throughout his entrepreneurial journey, Matt found his passion, working with clients to achieve a unique goal. Matt will continue this passion with WBO Partners.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys giving back to the community by mentoring high school teens with spectrum disorder. He enjoys seeing improvements and feels there is no greater fulfillment than seeing a positive impact on community members.

Matt graduated from the Severn School in Maryland and began his collegiate work at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega (ATO) Fraternity. He earned his bachelor's degree in Corporate Finance and Investment Planning from the Smith Business School at Towson University. Matt carries the Series 7 and Series 66 licenses as well as the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®) and the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ (AAMS™) designations.

Born and raised in Annapolis Maryland, Matt enjoys spending his weekends on the water with his 2-yearold Labrador retriever "Captain" or working on his personal classic car restoration projects.

AAMS™ and Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ are registered service marks of the College for Financial Planning.
