Samantha Trebesch

Vice President of Strategic Initiatives (ESG & Sustainable Investing)

Samantha believes in the power of financial advice to help individuals and businesses reach even their non-financial goals. Samantha leads a team of strategists responsible for a range of projects to improve business productivity, risk management, and operational efficiency. She is co-founder and chair of Raymond James' Sustainable Investing Advisory Council. Prior to joining Raymond James in 2016, Samantha was a career high school mathematics and computer science educator, teaching college prep courses and leading teams in curriculum setting, hiring, and professional development activities as department head. While employed with the United Nations in Hanoi, Vietnam, she founded a microfinance organization to teach students financial literacy principles through tangible impact, focused on building economic prosperity of historically marginalized Vietnamese women farmers. Samantha holds a Masters of Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where she majored in Finance and Marketing. She earned her bachelor's degree from Boston University. She currently serves on the finance committee of Community Action Stops Abuse (CASA) in St. Pete, FL and in her spare time, enjoys running half marathons and exploring national parks with her husband and daughter.
